the shop isn't officially open til monday but then its up for all to see,

Update

So i got a high 2:1.....
happy with that!

On the arty front......
I am going to have my work in a shop on display soon in Exeter!

I am currently working on some designs for a poster to promote a photography competition which i will pop on here when its done! Its fun doing something arty again!

HOPEFULLY going to embroider some bags, so you may see some stuff on here soon for sale and also a website that is up and running as well!

I'll update with photos from the shop when i've got it all up....
got to write another artist statement so i may pop that up too!

So its been busy busy!

i seem to update this thing once but with soooo much to say....

This is how my studio looked before i moved into my exhibition space and the 3D figures started to evolve......

well its been a busy easter....
I have been at my sewing machine most days or in the studio :)
its been quite refreshing to be honest its so nice to enjoy what you do!

Digital Textiles :) Test Piece

the first test strip which will be printed onto fabric :D the background colour is going to be an issue i have to resolve.
My other piece's are yellow dyed fabric, so i need to play around with different tones of yellow so that the piece flows with the rest of the figures.....



I am slowly falling in love with idea of becoming a graphic designer.....

IT week...

so this week i have been trying to conquer the crazy confusing programmes of web design....its been a mission,
but im nearly there so i may be adding a link soon to my website!

my work is in slow progress, the hours in the day seem to be disappearing at the moment but i will upload some more pictures soon! i will be doing the digital elements this week hopefully, so i may have some of my own fabric printed by next week!!

so the bodies have began to evolve into their three dimensional forms :)

For the digital stage i have been designing some quick illustrations for a mock up,
they are letting me print in PCAD, however it will be at a cost...



some quick doodles on illustrator, needs a lot of work though!

MDF structure....Its my height and is being made so it can be transported and assembled at Royal William Yard!

dissertation

Dissertation

Some images from my dissertation as a book so far :)

Dissertation...

Well i have neglected my studio work to get this dissertation done,
just a case of finishing off now, sorting out and all that :) with over a month left to go...
for once i have used some organisation at got something done in advance!!

For the studio work, i am going to get the sewing machine out today :D
Also need to apply for an MA, that is the scariest thought ever!! Ow and a competition which will be cool!

Hopefully have a lot more to say next time i post...with lots of photos :)

My assessment went ok, still not sure of exactly how well atm....got a rough grade, but as they say its art and grades dont count.....hmmmm shame i dont see it like that, i probably should!
